I think the three of them all have pretty distinct differences, especially as far as their motivation goes. The only similarity to me is that they serve the role of 'in-group antagonist' that the games need until the final reveal of the true antagonist. Byakuya is just an asshole, Nagito is losing touch with reality, and Kokichi is a troll. Their function is similar, but their behaviors are distinct. The big thing for me is that Byakuya chooses not to question himself, Nagito is incapable of questioning himself, while Kokichi has simply been performing and is fully aware what he has been doing is awful.
