A similar situation happened to my cousin. He was engaged to his gf, and they both agreed they wanted children. They were going to try for kids as soon as they were married. They could easily afford it, and had tons of people willing to help. She ended up pregnant, and they were both over joyed. Then her family started shaming her for being pregnant and not married. He kept telling her that didn't matter, but she eventually caved to the pressure and had an abortion. It devastated him, he felt as if she had betrayed him and killed their child. He broke things off, and went deep into drugs. He ended up losing his business and ruining his life due to his despair. He eventually regained control of his life, and is do much better now. Still, he's never "dated" since then, he can't trust a relationship any more, he only has flings, and there's definitely a difference in his personality. There's so much pain and distrust three still, even many years later. fortunately my best friend handled things better than that. he ended up homeless a few years later but I don't think the two where connected. he did get another girl pregnant but out of the blue she dumped him and refused to even claim him as the father just to make sure he couldn't see the kid (even though it also meant she couldn't go after him for child support) he wasn't the worlds best person but he had never done anything to deserve that extremity. that really bummed him out. he always wanted a girl, and thats what this GF of his ended up having now he does have a baby girl and works a pretty good paying job. I can't imagine how off the deep end he would have went had that one been aborted or kept from him too. --- Cid- "looks like that overgrown lobster just got served!"
