All companies except for Amazon have fallen in terms of customer support in the past 2-3 years. Worst than it already was.

They're all glorified script readers now who don't even understand your problem. They're basically using the help section of any given site or service, which you can easily do yourself.

Amazon has this problem too, that's why management gives them the power to just refund it and call it a day or dole out free credits.

Other companies don't do that and don't care if customers are happy or sad. Then a few years later, they're bitching about how Amazon has stolen all their thunder and they are filling for bankruptcy.

In all seriousness, I work in customer service (retail) and it can be a two-way street. I try to help people out as best I can, but there are some nasty, entitled pieces of shit out there. Its tough finding the middle ground between making sure your customer is genuinely satisfied and getting taken advantage of.
