These women let them linger because they get something out of it. One woman gets a dude who drives her around to do errands and buys her lunch. Another just uses this guy for emotional support because the family life is not so good. Another woman, whom I consider particularly vile, uses two guys to show other women that she must be important because the guys do what she wants. That one really bothers me because it's more blatant than the first two examples. These people are supposedly "friends," but the guys want more than that and are just being delusional.
