It's 5 pages of plot or action followed by 20 pages of author filibuster, over and over again, and the action isn't very interesting either. I like The Moon is a Harsh Mistress and Stranger in a Strange Land, which definitely have his political/philosophical views in them, but Starship Troopers is just a manifesto disguised as a book that's passable at best. --- Thus is our treaty written, thus is our agreement made.
