I don't really have a lot of close ties anymore since I've moved around so much so I can't even talk about the "validity" of each person using the hashtag. On one hand I don't want to make light of sexual abuse or harassment. On the other something like this somehow seems a lot less authentic for some reason than it should be. Mainly because the scope of what it could mean for each person is just so vast. The message of what it wants to do is clear, but I can't help but think some people might be bandwagoning on. Not saying not for a good cause or even for good reasons, but in a sense it's like someone who uses the tag because of being sexually abused and someone using the same one because some guy said they looked like a stripper seems like not equal things.
