He isn't showing the blitz until right before the snap. It's obvious to us, but unless he's looking to his right about a second before snapping the ball, he wouldn't see it. The obvious errors here are 1. Probably not having an audible lined up - a) Whoever is calling plays should pretty much always give the QB an option if the defense looks bad for the primary play - b) If Kaep ISN'T calling plays, it still speaks to the play caller's lack of preparation and/or Kaep's lack of prep work to be familiar enough with the offense to have two or more plays lined up (and/or the play caller's lack of confidence in Kaep's ability to call 1 play and successfully audible to another). And again, there's a possibility that they didn't have another play called to audible to. That is on Kaep and/or the play caller. 2. Kaep not seeing the uncovered X receiver - a) Come on, man --- ...
