There are many examples that show that having a good idea, and working hard for it can make a great movie with no money.

The Christopher Nolan movie Following cost 6k to make, took over a year, and is barely over an hour long, but it's an all time favorite of mine. Even with inflation that'd only be like 10k today.
Then classics like Clerk's were like 30k, etc.

If it's actually your passion and you have a story worth telling it can be done.


But what if telling that story requires set pieces that are expensive? Like a motorcycle scene on the highway for example. Or some destruction sequences. :(
