You can define equality in more than one way. An LGBT had an equal right and access to marriage. This is fact.

So you believe blacks had "equal rights to marriage" during miscegentation laws? When they were prohibited from marrying white people? If I'm following your logic, as long as a person has *somebody* they can marry, they have "equal rights to marriage"?

It was equal in the sense that people could only marry their own race. Whites were equally banned from marrying blacks.


Do you agree with that law? If not, then what would you call the push for races to intermarry? If you feel the phrase "Equal rights" is not appropriate, what would you call it? (Not being argumentative, just curious what words you would use)
