Up next is Nekomaru, aka Mechamaru. When I first met Nekomaru, I thought he was terrible. Then the toilet hijinks of Chapter 1 happened and I thought "OK, he's not terrible. He's funny, but whatever." Then the training with Akane, his "death," the fight with Gundham, and his overall positivity happened and what can I say, this dude is inspiring. The Ultimate Team Manager. Goes to show, you can't always judge a DR character by their cover. Everything about this dude is solid. Reasons he's not higher: Not a huge fan of his character design or voice acting, and his best moment is overshadowed by a person yet to appear on this list. Next: It's not a trick, Michael.
