Lol this. I have engineering friends who are underpaid or went back to school to get the next degree up because they couldn't get a job with their bachelor's/master's. But assuming poor people got to college anyway... not that hard to afford if you were actually in poverty or if you're an illegal alien in my state (yes that's correct). People start poor for a variety of reasons.
