You said it yourself. There are a number of things it can do. Its prescribed for other medical reasons. Its also not available at Wal Mart over the counter like Condoms are. The condom comparison needs to stop lol. If you want to use condoms as a reason why then I can flip that argument and say shes getting birth control...it better benefits both parties involved in intercourse.

I also said that I would like to see insurance companies make a distinction between it being prescribed for medical reasons versus solely contraception. Unfortunately, that's not the case right now, and the lion's share of women getting birth control are getting it for the sake of contraception. I wouldn't say I'm against having insurance companies forced to include birth control necessarily, but I'm also not in favor of it.
