I wanna say my favorite side-character is Anko, but I haven't seen or read actual Naruto stuff in years so I can't tell if that's because she's an actually good character, or if I only like her so much due to fanfiction portrayals. Was she as underutilized as I can only assume she totally was? yes she was barely in the series she had a cool design and a focus episode during the year of filler hell (though to be fair her filler 2 parter was actually ok) filler hell was awful but a handful of the episodes were watchable. usually the ones involving hinata because the people writing the filler adored her so they put actual effort into those episodes --- yusketeer ...
