I preheat my press with just boiling water for like a minute then i empty the water

i bloom the coffee where i fill it with water just enough to cover the grounds for like 40 seconds, i leave it uncovered for this

then i add the remaining water and wait 4 minutes with the cover on

do you think the blooming changes the flavor?

I think I will try that, but does preheating the press with boiling water really matter? I am just using hot water from the sink when I preheat it cause it gets really hot anyway, though i don't really understand why I am preheating it
