Most people use the sticks for large motions and gyro for precision. It is by no means "waving the pad around like and idiot." If you're capable of making small wrist movements, you're capable of quickly, fluidly, and accurately utilizing the gyro for those weapons. --- My sister's dog bit a hole in my Super Mario Land cartridge.
