Here's something I never understood about Orochimaru. He killed those people in the Chuunin exam so that meant he was using their clothes to look like them right? They weren't Sound village ninja, why did he keep wearing that outfit for so long after that arc was done? I guess he just liked how they looked. Like if a murderer were to kill you and then go "Oh, thats a cool looking shirt you have on. Ill take it." Sasuke wears the clothing because he doesnt want to wear his old leaf village garb (for... obvious reasons) and he doesnt care about fashion enough to change.

The look becomes incorporated into meaning that person is one of his followers. Even Kimimaro wears it in parts where they're showing Juugo's past. But Kimimaro didn't wear them as a kid and neither did his clan. The sound four wear them, but that makes no sense because Orochimaru didn't wear them before killing the ninja that were from...uh...that grass??? Oh well, it's just always been odd to me that it was worn. I know the rope is functional for things like holding Sasuke's sword.
