Not everyone can make long distance work, so its best to just end it now instead of prolonging misery for yourself and hope for her.
For me, mine managed to work. 6 years long distance/across the country; her in Cali, me in Florida. After 6 years, we met in the middle in Colorado and moved in together; 8 years later, we currently still live together, though in a different state because oh my god the people in Colorado tend to be freakin' horrible.
