I thought Toys R Us was like a hellish nightmare to go into even when I was a kid in the late 80s and wanted to go to a toy store.
K B Toys in the mall was always so much better. Plus Mrs. Fields cookies were just around the corner. And this one shop that sold only coffee and large gingerbread men with necco waffers as their buttons. I would have my cookie, my grandpa would have his coffee and my grandma would spend the rest of the day shopping for clothes. It was a nightmare. Every single Sunday of my life until she died when I was 13.
