Why would people riot over the death of a drug dealer?
It really helps to familiarize yourself with the subject matter. The biggest issue people, myself included, have is that this psychopath was carrying his personal firearm (AK-47, the fuck?!?!?!) with him which was absolutely against dept policy. The dept was well aware of it and did nothing. It's less about shooting the guy, more about he did it with a weapon he was not authorized to carry. It's about holding him AND the dept accountable. Police officers do NOT get to pick and choose what rules they follow. Well in theory, in practice they do wtf ever they want.
And I agree, he should be punished for illegal possession of firearms.
And yet, nothing happened. Again.
Let's say he was charged and convicted for illegal weapons.
Do you think that would satisfy the BLM crowd?
Probably not, but it would be a start. I get the ambiguity over charging for murder. A weapons violation is black and white (no pun intended) so to not convict him for that...its getting very hard to defend cops or the justice system anymore.
