If a couple have the option of raising a baby when they're 16 and unprepared, fucked financially, and statistically doomed to a life of poverty, vs. terminating the pregnancy, growing older and having healthy families when they're more ready, it becomes silly to say to that first couple, "Well, at least your baby's alive."
