Trump is a snake oil salesman, and most of voting America has the attention span of a guppy when it comes to politics. Trump entertained them by telling them what they wanted to hear. Literally all of them are better than Trump. Ted Cruz being the worst of the bunch, but even he is better than Trump if only marginally. And I didn't list Johnson / McAfee / Stein because they actually have pretty valid excuses.
