@LJRENEGADE If the word had as much history and instantly negative meaning as that word, of course I wouldn't use it because I'm not an asshole. And the race topic is VERY relevant. I love how you think you can deem what is "stupid" or imply I'm immature for calling out the flaws in your logic while you continue to make blatantly ignorant remarks. You being white is relevant because that just goes to show I was right about you being too above empathy and you're too set in your own ways to give a damn about how the people legitimately affected by this feel. It's like a rich person not seeing the issue in people spitting on poor people. This is all also still ignoring the fact that, you know, some people who directly dealt with people legitimately spitting on and attacking them for being a certain race are still alive. I have a grandfather who had part of his ear cut off, and was attacked multiple times by people who called him that word. When he heard that word given a certain context, he had to act a certain way, or get off the side of the street because someone else was walking there who happened to be white. That is literally what you can consider to be traumatizing experiences he experienced over DECADES. But sure, he's supposed to laugh it up when he hears that word, right? This is what I mean when I say you are ignorant, because you are. Of course you wouldn't know or car ehow it feels.

And let me ask you a question (pretty sure I already did but you ignored it), why use that word specifically instead of another word? If you know the negative connotations of the word, why link yourself to people who use it to literally attack others or to demean them due to a deep sense of hatred? The white cloak and hats the KKK wear are just clothes. They may stand for hate and are used by the members to announce to the world that they hate certain races of people, but they're just clothing. So is it fine for anyone to just put on a Klan outfit and call it a day? I'm just supposed to assume that there's no chance of them being racist and there's no problem with doing that? Your logic is beyond asinine, and this speaks volumes as to why. You don't intentionally link yourself with a hate group like that if you truly mean to be not racist.

As for saying you don't care if he doesn't care, that's literally my point. If I apologize to someone whilst laughing then following up by saying I really don't care, then I'm not at all sorry. YOU were the one to bring his apology up, and now you're backtracking heavy by saying it doesn't matter. Pick a side, did he apologize, or is he just being an inconsiderate ass who doesn't care?

And what do you even mean by "wasting time"? You being in a discussion like this is in no way any better. You act as if the people complaining are some activists who spend hundreds of hours researching and yelling at a screen. Making a complaint, or saying "I disagree with him" takes a few minutes max, so that logic makes very little sense. Especially coming from a guy posting on a political board of a video game message board at that.

But this is all again me knowing I shouldn't have confronted you after you admitted to being white. It's more often than not a waste of time arguing with someone like you who thinks it's "just a word." Looks like I was correct in saying you were not bright. I'm not merely saying this out of anger (I'm not even angry) or spite. I'm saying it because it is applicable to this situation. You are being intentionally ignorant, intentionally disregarding the feelings of those who it actually affects (like the rich man who doesn't give a damn about the poor which is pretty unintelligent in itself), and your logic is filled with a plethora of holes throughout your poor defense. Then you continue to make points whilst backtracking, and focusing on nitpicking the smaller parts of my post as for just confronting the main question at hand. None of those are qualities of anyone I'd consider to be intelligent.
