I'd guess that Bystials coming into the game really hurt that variant in particular though, and I could see a lot of people playing Bystials in this format to deal with Mathmech. The funny thing is, I don't think I've ever run into Bystials with it. I did briefly try out Ghost Belle specifically for protection against Bystials and Called By, but it came up so rarely that I kinda just stopped bothering.
