This is an issue with the villainess isekai genre as a whole (I've read far too many of them). Lots of protagonists stay laser-focused on the plot being fate/unavoidable even when that's clearly not the case and they've derailed canon so badly it's in another hemisphere by now. The most frustrating stories are the ones where they turn out to be right, though.
