This stuff was all good in the Villainess manga, can't imagine it's much different here though I'm not watching.
I'm just not a fan of how it's sympathetically equating homosexuality with incest. That both are merely "forbidden love". The Crunchyroll comments for the episode were full of arguments where people were saying it's wrong to be against incest, plus people on the anime board are arguing the same. Supporting LGBTQ+ rights leading to the normalizing incest is literally a slippery slope argument that I've seen bigots use. Now apparently I'm the bigot for being against incest... ugh.
