So your country will allow a convicted felon to hold a parliamentary office, but not vote?

There is no federal disenfranchisement of felons. That is determined by individual states and was put in the Constitution to limit who could be restricted from voting.

Separately, the Constitution determines who is eligible to serve in Congress and as it stands, states are not allowed to set additional requirements.

That said, the Constitution does restrict those who have committed insurrection from holding office. My feelings would not be hurt in the least if this were invoked.
