The language thing depends on country I think. A lot of immigrants in Europe dont speak the native language but for some places thats not an issue. Dutch people are a step away from hating their own language and will grab any excuse to speak English, which in turn also doesnt help immigrants with learning Dutch. Some idiots like me fully speak English with certain groups and people who do still speak Dutch increasingly use English words to the point of half-half sentences. I think some European languages will disappear soon or at least have a Singapore scenario going on for them.
