I've never had this problem. I don't make a habit of it though

But at work they where doing a charity thing where they cooked pancakes and what not for us and it was 5 bucks a plate. Had a girl who it was literally her first day so she didn't know about it and didn't bring money. I offered to buy her a plate and she accepted.

Long time co worker later called me up and she started bitching me out that I've worked with her longer and had never offered to buy her anything so I bought her a plate too.

Fast forward a couple of weeks I wanted a honey bun from the vending machine but thr card reader was offline so that new girl gave me the money and refused me paying her back despite she paid me back for that plate I bought her.

But I will say co workers offering to pay for others stuff is somewhat common around here if said co worker knows the other ain't got the money on them. People always say the rank saying we are family is corny but it's kinda true in how we act.
