It both implies that there are multiple 'Ricks' that constantly get made from all of one organism losing a loved one. The difference is that Uncle Slow's wife and her Birdperson worked out. Rick's didn't work out.
I need to rewatch this tomorrow. Not really sure what Evil Morty wants with the thing. I was kinda surprised he didn't just go live somewhere peaceful, and that he even came back, but I liked that Rick even called him out for being a fan for fucking off.
