Not sure why people are mad. I think it's a good concept. It's the logical next step for the story

Why does everyone seem so angry about every sequel these days? I swear the phrase "who asked for this" is said way too much on this board

Sometimes the story is so well contained and says everything it needed to say, that it's hard to not feel cynical about the motivations of extending it.

Like imagine if Hamlet then had Hamlet part 2: Horatio's story. You know, the side-sequel that explains what horatio did after the closing of the last act of Hamlet. What would that actually add?
