On the surface for casual playing these games can probably hold their own enough to satisfy someone who just wants their favorite characters growing up to all fight each other. However, once the fighting game community gets their hands on the game and instantly figures out every exploit that completely exposes the games weaknesses things tend to not hold up as well. Maybe the developers learned some lessons from the previous game but I doubt it as these games are probably just cash grabs trying to exploit nostalgia in a popular genre.
