I work for a bank and there is almost zero reason to go to a branch. They're basically obsolete and only exist to cater to old people.

Only regular reasons would be to get a debit card made on the spot, a cashier's check, an international wire that can only be sent when the fed is open anyway, or if you're referred to one due to security concerns.

or apply for a loan
or set up a trust
or use a safe deposit function
or get the services of a notary
or convert foreign money to regular money because almost no banks do that at a drive up
or, if applicable, dmv services instead of waiting thirty nine hours at the dmv
or, if applicable, pay utilities

just because you don't use any other function of a bank, doesn't mean no one else does lmfao
