I still think that a 10/10 scale could work.

10/10 - Everyone could have fun with it
9/10 - As long as you don't absolutly hate the genre and style, you could have fun with it
8 / 10 - If you neutral towards the genre...
7 / 10 - as long as you like the genre...
6 / 10 - if you are a fan of the genre or series..
5 / 10 - ...
...
...
1/10 - if you are a masochistic diehard fan, you may not completly hate it.
0/10 - everyone should hate it.

In the end:

10/10 games are games that can even catch people outside of their usual genres.

8/10 games are games that are solid purchase for everyone who somewhat likes the genre or setting.

6/10 is only for some fans who could enjoy it even with the flaws in it.

I think interpreting it like that is much better than "10/10, perfect game" or "8/10, it's so great but too much water".
