We're now at a point where I feel very comfortable in saying things are objectively worse than they used to be, without feeling like I'm just wearing nostalgia goggles.

  • Social media is complete cancer on the soul, mind, spirit - societally and personally
  • Social media and forums have been weaponised poltically to the betterment of no one
  • Forums are dying or dead and don't have the culture they used to have
  • You need a 20 page article with a significant amount of preamble to get the answer you're looking for
  • If you live in the UK, you ned to click on a pop up literally every time you go to any website saying you want all the cookies
  • Actually I could go down a giant rabbit hole of all the ways the internet in the UK sucks major fucking dick
  • Remember the cable cutting era? Remember when it made good sense to move away from cable and just transition to Netflix? Well now you need to pay 7 different companies a $10 subscription each to get the content you want, effectively making it like cable but more of a headfuck
  • And videogame publishers, car dealers and home appliance manufacturers have cottoned on to that neat trick so now we get to enjoy subscription services for everything
  • Piracy is not dead but it lacks the heart it used to have
  • Youtube really, REALLY wants you to watch 2 minutes of advertising for every 10 minutes of video. Like they really fucking want you to do this so fucking bad
  • Even small time creators are having to make their content buttery slick and professional even though it's just a fucking cooking vid for like 200 people
God I hate this
