The one difference is that everyone already realizes Hamas is evil, so there's not much to be achieved by pointing it out every time I so much as see a Palestinian flag. On the other hand, a lot of people still have a hard time getting it through their head that Israel's government and military are every bit as bad, if not worse.

People are stupid and very VERY tunnel-visioned.

We see it all the time...criticize Israeli government, then you're an anti-Semite.
Show sympathy to Palestinian civilians, you're a terrorist sympathizer.

Some folks are so close-minded, they'd probably say "Palestinians deserve it" just for existing.
And are just as blind to folks saying the same thing about Jews in general.
