Last time the Bears traded away their second round pick it went perfectly so I'm not sure what everyone is panicking about.
This is true, and the PTSD is still there from the Claypool trade for sure. This comes without the character issues and lack of production that season for Claypool though, so there's that lol.

Sure but the more you acquire, the more darts you have to throw at the board. Even a team like hte bears *can* get some right if they try enough times. He is a proven talent, but I just don't ever like these types of trades unless they put you in contention. Going from bad to mediocre or even average just doesn't do it for me. It's a move a team pulls when they just want to be relevant.
This is also true, as evidenced by Poles' two drafts where he constantly trades down and acquires more picks (not to mention the DJ Moore trade). Again, I think he trades down from his lower of two first round picks and acquires a few more that way as well.

Whatever contract Sweat ends up signing with that team will be a contract he regrets, and will probably just end with him being traded again the year it expires or the year before.
Man chill lol. I know you're not a Bears fan, so I assume Packers or Vikings?
