Nintendo constantly shits on them over and over again but they still play smash because they love it, even though they never get the actual support they deserve. Capcom and Arcs Systems go out of their way to help out the competitive scene for their fighters with big prize pools and everything. Nintendo Smash tournament first prize was literally a golden gamecube controller with a smash logo on it.
