The Legion of Super-Heroes comics take place in the 30th, where the universal language is Interlac, which has its own letters. Interlac is the only thing you will ever see on signs and documents and the like, but all the dialogue is still presented in English. For another example, almost all of Metal Gear Solid 3's dialogue is in Russian in-universe. Honestly, that's the logic I apply to the use of our idioms in games too, think of it as a localization for the sake of our understanding, and they're very likely using a cultural equivalent --- "The starting point is of the utmost importance" <cite>DarkFists posted [p:976898022] in Characters...
