If this looks to be a long-tail manhunt, will the shelter in place order have to stay in effect for longer? At that point you have to wonder how long people in the area can survive. Newscasters yesterday were saying it was nearly impossible to find food or open public restrooms in town.

If I were living in the northeast Id be cancelling all my plans and taking a flight, but even then, its impossible to know just how long the high alert period is going to be. Also, Im a derp, shelter in place means shelter in place, so no real way to take an unplanned vacation. Thats terrible.

This is awful stuff and I hope the affected families can find peace somehow despite this horrific tragedy, and the rest of the US can get closure that leads to meaningful change in keeping this type of domestic terror from ever happening.
