DnDer 10/23/23 3:57:07 AM #52: | Food stamps are already race-based, and race-based in favor of white people.
Sure, it looks like it's based on income and work requirements, but even just a scratch on the surface reveals numbers that show institutional racism hard at work. https://www.pewresearch.org/short-reads/2023/07/19/what-the-data-says-about-food-stamps-in-the-u-s/ Your example doesn't hold up like you think it does when white people are getting assistance 2:1 compared to black people. (See the chat about 1/2 - 2/3 of the way down.) It's not color-blind at all. Black people are, as a whole, 400 years behind the same starting line white people have. You can't be color-blind until you resolve for those 400 years. Not when it comes to government policies seeking to redress inequality. --- What has books ever teached us? -- Captain Afrohead Subject-verb agreement. -- t3h 0n3 ... Copied to Clipboard! |
