As someone who liked the Netflix shows other than Defenders, I think Disney has done a better job overall.

Daredevil season 1 and half of season 2 were fantastic. The Hand shit was abysmal in all areas for all the shows. Just an uninteresting villain group that added nothing. Daredevil introducing Punisher was great but season 2 was really weak due to the Elektra/Hand shit. Then season 3 was a step back up since it focused on Kingpin a bit more.

Jessica Jones season 1 was probably the best in the entire Netflix grouping. Season 2 was still really good. Season 3 was okay but the villain sucked and it was just kinda pointless.

Luke Cage season 1 was great for the first 4-6 episodes, but then sorta dragged after that, when it went to standard villain with the same powers bullshit. The Mahershala Ali stuff was fantastic though. Season 2 was solid, Bushwacker was a good villain, but overall it just wasn't as interesting as season 1. You need an awesome charismatic villain for these shows to work.

Iron Fist was mostly panned by everyone, though I still enjoyed it. It gave me an awesome Tom Pelphrey introduction for Ward Meachum, that clearly inspired Kendall Roy for Succession. He then went on to give a harrowing performance in Ozark. If there's one thing I'll give Iron Fist, it was that it put him on the map for me personally. I thought season 2 was much better as it introduced some things that I was actually looking forward to, like the gun iron fist shit, that seemed like it could have been awesome to watch. Sadly it was canceled immediately after.

Then Defenders fucking sucked. It was boring, I legit don't remember a single thing from that, and that's not good when the big event team up gives you nothing to remember. The Hand shit really dragged the entire thing down. It just didn't work.

Then Punisher never lived up to any of the awesomeness that the first half of season 2 of Daredevil gave us.

Feel like the series really should have crafted itself after Daredevil season 1, part of 2, and 3. Each season gave us insane and awesome fight scenes, Daredevil's first like 3-4 episodes had 3-4 of the best fight scenes ever in a TV series (surpassed years later by Warrior and Gangs of London), but those scenes were amazing in season 1, and then season 2 had the awesome ass Frank Castle prison scene, that's probably the GOAT, and then the Daredevil prison scene in season 3 that was all one shot, that was fucking amazing as well.

I feel like none of the other shows had the choreography that Daredevil had, not even Punisher, and that's a shame. If they made that the focal point of the show, hard hitting hero shit, I think maybe it could have resonated better with fans. But outside of hardcore nerds who wanted more superhero shit, the mainstream audience really didn't give a shit, and the nerds who did watch it, mostly seemed to dislike it outside of a season or series.

With that said, I don't think the Netflix stuff was a failure, but I do think they failed to deliver on the hype involved. Plus the preparation and development seemed to be a massive failure when it came to Iron Fist, with all the production issues before they even started filming. That just seemed fucked from the get go. Of all the shows, that should have been the best choreographed one, and it came across as the least action of them all, which is weird.

My biggest complaint about t
