support of israel has historically been bipartisan in the beltway. "on the ground," however, israel commands more support among republican voters due to evangelical influences, while palestine commands more support among democrat voters due to midcentury thirdworldlist influences. the former influence is going to be found in churches, the latter in academia, which significantly inform their respective values.

Historically, I agree but in recent times I would argue that the traditional Republican support of Israel has shown significant cracks.

The right is desperately trying to paint the entire left as anti-semitic when all it really does is put a spotlight on their own. The mainstreaming of Qanon conspiracies for one, most of which are deeply anti-semitic. Multiple sitting Republicans that can't stop gushing about Hitler. Trump himself dropping "blood and soil" quotes right out of his copy of Mein Kampf, and also going on frequent rants questioning the loyalty of Jews, etc.
