Someone in another thread posted that they had a Republican friend (coworker?) who admitted that the GOP had an "extremism problem". That just doesn't come up in most discussions with Democrats.

I'm an ex-Republican. My wife is an ex-Republican. We know multiple ex-Republicans. Plenty have left the party or are Republicans in name only voting Dem over the direction that the party has gone.

But the problem is that way, way, way, way more have stayed or joined the GOP as a result of it being MAGAfied. The modern right wants either lower taxes for the wealthiest, restrictions to abortion, or to just troll the libs, and the MAGA GOP has checked all three boxes.

Irregardless, for all intensive purposes, I could care less.
