And I know that isn't really what you were saying, but I'll try to make it relevant. If you rate a game via 50 points on a basis of 10/10 over 5 categories, if the game scores 40/50 because it gets 10/10 in music, graphics, etc. but 0 in a very important category (control) does that mean it's a good game overall, or a horribly crippled one because it lost those 10 points in the most important category? How do we draw the line?

• Is it that a literal 0=0 1=20 2=40 3=60 4=80 and 5=100 for metacritic purposes?
• Is it an averaged out 90?
• Is it a 99 with 5 being reserved for only the most flawless games?

And that's just the most common and obvious problem weighing scores!
