Pizza is always good. Even bad pizza is still good. You can get me a $1 frozen Tony's pizza or Jeno's pizza and I'll eat it without complaints.

Burgers are pretty innocuous. Too open-ended. Are you including turkey-burgers? Black-bean burgers? Mock meats and meat analogues? You can top them with pretty much anything. They're not a perfect food - but they're so open for interpretation that there's no way I could pick them as the most overrated.

Tacos are great, especially street tacos. I'll go far enough to say that Mexican cuisine is one of the top 3 cuisines in the entire world. Tacos are fairly rated. If anything they're underrated.

Ice cream is great, especially if you're in the Midwest. Maybe overrated if you're talking about gellato or the crap that people outside of the Midwest try and pass off as ice cream.

Pasta is fine. It's not as good as rice or other starches - but it's still good. I wouldn't say it's overrated, aside from the fact that Italian places try and charge a ton when you know most of those places are still using dried pasta (which is fine - but it doesn't warrant the high price tag).

Steak wins for me as the most overrated. I'm sorry but I don't give a fuck about, "this cow was fed a diet of ____ and pet daily to ensure a perfect marbling." Like wine it's another thing for seasonless people with money to get on their high horse about. I don't care if the "quality" is slightly higher on your underseasoned piece of flesh.

Wings are overrated to me, too. They're fine - but fried chicken is better. Wings usually require more effort than is worth the return - like pomegranates or seeded watermelon. I don't want to eat around tons of gristle and cartilage.

Fries and onion rings I don't see as being overrated. They're not like super hyped about like the above foods? Plus if you've ever had fries from a shawarma place made by a middle-eastern person then you'd know they can be delicious. Maybe if you're talking about the salty paper-tasting fries of McDonald's I'd agree they're more overrated than anything here other than steak.

Hot Dogs aren't something I see as being highly rated by people. They used to be a good poverty food - now I literally never see or hear anybody even talk about them, especially since they're more expensive than they used to be.
