Seems like horseshoe theory's well has been poisoned by internet libertarians, going by your description. No, it doesn't seek to do that. By design, it also highlights that there's a point where either side is as far from the other as possible. It was never meant to equivocate any given point of opposing sides, only to describe that increasingly extreme ideals tend to become similar, which is true.

Twitter's extreme left essentially hits the same ad-libs game you'd find with white nationalists, just replace the races and standard they hate to fill in the blanks.

Note that I am not saying twitter's leftward extremes have power comparable to the longstanding white nationalism baked into our corporate fungal network.
