More like 'ironic echoes". Each extreme will inevitably use very similar tactics and talking points, such that you can switch around some key nouns and it's verbatim a quote from the other extreme or description of something they've done. Like that topic on Maher and Hasan Minaj's "emotional truth" that was basically verbatim "alternative truth". Are Trump's lies more dangerous and harmful than his? Of course.
