If you're left leaning, you should be opposed to NFTs & crypto on environmental levels, what the fuck is this take? I shouldn't be "anything", because I don't live in a hivemind. Anyway, crypto is a huge vague umbrella for a lot of Web3 technologies. If you are referring to proof of work tokens such as Bitcoin, I am 100% against the use of those technologies. But there is nothing inherently "wrong" with the idea of a blockchain, or crypto itself for that matter. The amount of energy is wasted is solely dependent on the solutions we decide to roll with going forward. Embracing archaic and ancient chains such as Bitcoin is damaging to the environment and defeats the purpose of a potential decentralized network.
