When people talk about sexism in slasher movies, they're talking about Trish from Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter.

She runs up the stairs instead of out the front door twice and she gets trapped both times. To her credit, she fights back once she's corner. She smashes a big-ass box television over Jason's head and even throws herself out the window to escape the second time.

I get that not every character can be a total badass. But it's jarring to go from resourceful final girls like Ginny and Chris to someone who stands by screaming helplessly as her freaking 12-year-old brother defeats the monster for her. Not to mention that her only personality is a bubbly smile whereas Ginny and Chris were more likable and relatable as individuals.

Edit: Yes, there is a second l in Spoilers. No, I'm not deleting the topic to correct it.
