Why play any Pokemon game when all you end up having is just catching Pokemon endlessly? Why play DotA when all you end up with is playing the same game endlessly? Reductive statements that are so blanket as to be meaningless are just not worth considering. That and because I personally do not consider post-game content in the slightest unless it is more story content, like an epilogue or something. If a game holds up on its own before the credits, then it did its job.
